Amazing place to stay. Very clean. Sue and Lorna have thought of everything. They decorated barn for sons 21st birthday pt 2 celebrations, thank you! Lovely welcome pack in a wooden crate. Beds are so comfy. Hot tub was fab we used it everyday and night. Speaker for music (only found this on our last day) kitchen equipped with everything you need, cutlery plates bowls utensils all there. Great location, 5 mins drive from Skegness and Gibraltar nature park. Great for our cavapoo winny who loved the enclosed field to run around in. Will come back again as had such a wonderful stay. Thank you again x

I stumbled across this hidden gem in 2024 whilst looking for a family friendly, dog friendly, hot tub, secluded place that wasn't too far to travel to. Could not believe my luck when I found these and booked in straight away and have not looked back since. Both Sue & Lorna are incredible hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The welcome box with everything you need to know, and filled with local small business produce is lovely......my husband has had to order plum bread to take home with us!! Milk is always in the fridge on arrival so a cup of lincolnshire tea is great before unpacking and doing a food delivery/shop. Each self catering dwelling is designed with a different coastal bird in mind and is back to nature. All the staff here from gardener, cleaners and Roger who maintains the hot tubs daily are all very lovely and friendly. The rooms can be set up for children or beds set up for adults and each room is spotlessly clean and beds are comfy. The walk in showers are the star of the show, as the power is incredible.....wondering how to convert my own shower!! Dog friendly, and everything is thought of - from poo bags to bowls to food mats to protect the floor to the dog wash unit. They are a lovely quiet family friendly base to have, particularly if you have a SEND child. The field is a great place to get out tennis racquets and play and kick a ball around and generally run around. There is a red phone box filled with books and family games, which is great for rainy days and all cottages have access to TV and streaming. BBQ and seating area outside and indoors a speaker and some beach tic tac toe game which kept us amused in rain. It is close distance to Skegness promenade and beach, arcades, beach donuts and the pleasure beach. If that's not your thing, then you are close to Skegness Aquarium and Skegness Seal Hospital and Sanctuary and lovely walks. Close distance to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park and the Zoo (a bit further out) which are great family days out and also close distance if you are down in season to Animal Farm Parks, Willows PYO Fruit Farm, Goat Sanctuary and Donkey Rescue and Fantasy Island. If the weather is bad there is always Jumping Fun trampoline park too. More family fun can be had at Mablethorpe - with the beach, Mablethorpe Ice Cream Co., Sea Salt & Butter Bakehouse and a stroll down the promenade. If you love nature the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and small Wildlife park is a great visit to see the charity work they do and then all the little places in the villages from Mablethorpe through Sutton on Sea and back into Skegness. Don't forget the North Sea Observatory to watch a sunrise and/or sunset. Whither you are down as a family or a couple there is always something to do locally. I'd also point out Skegness Padel and bike trails too. A visit to Gibraltar Point and the beach there is a must. Another family friendly visit as the nature point is full of information, talks and activities. The Burger and Bat activity was fantastic. We have also been just as a couple for an anniversary break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and it's peaceful and perfect. If you've managed to read this far, then well done, and we would highly recommend staying here, Follow their social media account for the fascinating renovation journey, tours and tips for local things to do. :)

After discovering this curious set of buildings on Google Maps, I took a deeper look and found it was holiday accommodation! We spent a week in the Oyster Catcher in Skegness and I cannot believe just how amazing the place is. The hosts Sue & Lorna were friendly and helpful, the 'proper' beds were extremely comfortable, the little welcome box of tasty treats were very much appreciated and the provision of bath robes, towels and communal laundry area were very thoughtful touches. We spent our days amongst the crowds of Skeggy and surrounds and the evenings relaxing in peace at the accommodation where we enjoyed the hot tub and sitting at the benches in the dog exercise field. Also lucky enough to witness the eclipse here! The whole family loved it here and we're looking forward to returning in a couple of years 😍

We absolutely love Lincolnshire Coastal Cottages and have just returned from another wonderful 21-day stay. This was our fifth visit, having stayed in both Sandpiper and Avocet, as well as renting all of the cottages — Lapwing, Curlew and Oystercatcher — for larger family and friends gatherings. This year was particularly special as we celebrated my husband’s mother’s 95th birthday. The cottages provided the perfect space for the whole family to come together, relax, eat, laugh and celebrate. It really is a very special place for bringing people together. What keeps bringing us back is the combination of luxury, quality and incredible attention to detail. The facilities are exceptional, with beautiful bedding and linen, luxurious robes, fantastic hot tubs and everything you need for a truly relaxing stay. We also love the welcome hampers, packed with lovely local Lincolnshire produce — such a thoughtful touch. The cottages and grounds are always beautifully maintained and immaculate. The gardens are gorgeous, and the attention to detail in the upkeep is second to none. The whole team -groundsmen, housekeeping and administration team all do a fantastic job at making the cottages feel like home. There are also so many thoughtful little extras that make the cottages feel different from other places we’ve stayed. We love the telephone box book and board game exchange, the guest laundry and the dog-washing facilities. Everything has clearly been designed with guests in mind. The location is also perfect for us, with easy access to Padel, golf, the beach as well as beautiful countryside walks for Martha our dog. It really is "Doggie Pawadise" We genuinely love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing and very well-equipped base for either a family celebration or simply some quality time away together. If we could suggest just a couple of things that would make an already fantastic experience even better, improved Wi-Fi would be really helpful for those of us who occasionally need to work remotely, and a full-length mirror in Sandpiper would be a welcome addition — purely a personal recommendation! Thank you to everyone at Lincolnshire Coastal Cottages for another fantastic stay. We have made some wonderful family memories here over the years, and the fact that we have already booked August 2027 probably says everything you need to know! We absolutely love this place and can’t wait to come back. ❤️

Lovely self catering unit in a great barn conversion. Avocet had everything we needed. Plenty of parking. Welcome hamper and other perks such as parking permit for Gibraltar Point. Great location for exploring the area. Couple of good pubs for eating out, The Links and The Vine (both about 1 mile away). Thank you for a great stay. Fred and Sandra.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here on the doorstep of Seacroft Golf Club. The location was perfect — peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a relaxing getaway, while still being close to everything we needed. Waking up to the beautiful surroundings and fresh air each morning with a morning dip in the hot tub was a real highlight. The property itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail had clearly been thought through, from the cosy furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful little touches that made us feel right at home. The beds were super comfortable, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Sue and Lorna (the hosts) were exceptional — friendly, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great stay. Check-in was seamless, communication was excellent throughout, and we felt looked after from start to finish. Whether you’re visiting for golf, a coastal break, or simply a peaceful escape, this place is an absolute gem. We have already rebooked for next year and cannot wait to be back!

A fabulous long weekend in Torwood, a very well equipped house. Great location within easy walking distance of the beach, a shop & a beer garden. Torwood worked well for our extended family, including 3 children 6mths-3yrs, with its secure garden. Highly recommend.
